What did you think of the Lakers win over the Phoenix Suns?

Are the Lakers an elite team now that they've beaten Phoenix and Denver twice, beat San Antonio, Houston, Utah, Detroit and Golden State this early in the season

they're 18-10 now and they through 28 games have played the toughest schedule in the NBA

how far do you think this team will go?

how impressive was the win tonight?

other thoughts/comments?

What did you think of the Lakers win over the Phoenix Suns?fan gear

wow

well with that kind of performance i can see the lakers winning a championship

before you say im crazy just look at what happened

kobe shot 60 percent

bynum with 28 pounts

your right kobe cant do it alone

but he doesnt have to

solid point guard play from faram and fisher

kobe is making his teammates better

great bench play

when he dissed the lakers organization i think all the players took it as a challenge to get better

they are playing great defense

what more can you want from a team to be succesful

and the scariest thing to me is kobe is not forcing the offense to go through him the game is just coming to him

to me the lakers checklist is-

they need to show they can beat the celltics

maintain a high level of play

stop duncan parker and ginobli

if the mavs get back on track they have to show they can compete with them

how far will they go?

i guess that is ultimately up to the lakers role players- they MUST continue a high level of play throught the playoffs

im guessing that they will be the 3th or 4th and make it to the second round

it really comes down to matchups and who they play

look aat the cavs they got a free ride to the finals last year

playing to injured teams and beating a pistons team which i believe has run out of gas

What did you think of the Lakers win over the Phoenix Suns?nba draft ,nba teams

I'm surprised that they won a close game, considering their 4th quarter melt downs in 5-6 games this season, but I'm not shocked.

Just as with any other team, staying relatively healthy will be key. Also, handling adversity later this season when they play something like 18 of 22 games on the road in Feb.

Speaking of February, I doubt the Lakers will make a deal at the deadline. Perhaps a move involving Kwame Brown's expiring contract, but he may have a greater value to LA as a defender than his $9M coming off some other team's salary cap.
who would have thought how well there playing @ the begining of the season........ Kobe talking trade and Phil not signed extension........ I think Bynum is the key.... if he can keep growing (just like we Hoped...Kwame would) they can go pretty far in the playoffs......... no one is that un-beatable !!
bachi
I have two separate thoughts on tonight's game:

1. I'm glad they beat the Suns cuz I don't like the Suns :)

2. It is very interesting to see how the Lakers have gone from having their star player publicly put his own team down to have the entire team really coming together and acting like a team.

Very interesting, but... as always, go Wizards!
Well, they're improving now. Especially Bynum. He had a career night outplaying Amare. Other guys like Odom are distributing. They are now playing like the Los Angeles Lakers and not the Los Angeles Kobes.
i think they are...with a good center, good bench, and a great leader like kobe, theres no arguments!.....i think that its still not enough to get them to the nba finals.....they need to master the PG position!.....theyre close to doing so in the center position. Farmar and Fisher need to do a better job of finding the open man and dishing out those assists....i was very impressed to see my Lakers beat the suns again! throughout their first 2 meetings theyve outscored them

241-213!

GO LAKERS!
LAKERS ARE DOING GOOD THIS YEAR

IT WAS A GREAT GAME LAKERS ARE A GREAT TEAM

BUT LET GO OF EASY TEAMS I THINK THEY CAN

GO FAR ONCE THEY GET BROWN BACK N CHRIS

ISNT REALLY GOOD ASLONG AS THEY WORK AS

A TEAM I THINK THEY GOT ITT.
I agree with you for the most part, but they aren't an elite team unless they are at LEAST 3rd in their division, I think they need to trade Odom for another star. And their victory over the Suns tonight was outstanding! They were doing dunks all game!
Right now Lakers are one of the scariest teams in the West, they have the best player in the game, and a great coach who knows how to motivate his players. On top of everything you have a great young center who just scratched the surface of his talent. I see the Lakers going past 1st round this year, and pull off a stunning upset/ at least give Spurs a scare and get them all shakened up before the finals.

Kobe to MVP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the lakers might go to the western conference finals this year, you might think that i'm crazy, but they played solid defense and offense, they only need to work on TO's......they had a great chance of winning 50-55 games this year, KOBE 2008 MVP!

GO LAKERS!
not a surprise, Lakers show they can compete with anybody
LA Lakers...
It's impressive but the Lakers still won't make it far. They'll be a lower seed in the playoffs and probably get eliminated in round 1. Kobe can't do it alone.
I just looked at their roster and stats. That's a negative, Kobe will break down, he's doing all the work.
Nooooo!

They lost?

I only saw about a minute of it and I was sure that the Suns had it in the bag.

Damn!
