he has a huge long term contract and he's now the lakers go-to goat now that kwame's gone. do u think they should get rid of him via trade or buy out?
Should the lakers get rid of luke walton this offseason once ariza is back?sports tickets
I wish man...but they gave him a contract extension and the Lakers are already past the luxury cap. I'm not sure who we would trade him for though. Jeez, he's such a bust. He was such a smart player at the beginning of the season, but that injury really ****** up his rhythm. He's an entirely different player now. Man.... Hopefully he comes back in the playoffs and plays like his old self. Lakers need good triangle offense and he used to be one of the best players to work the triangle with.
But yea, trade is the best option. Buy out would be way too costly. But honestly, this guy's contract just got extended so i don't know what team would take on such a lengthy commitment especially since Luke hasnt proven himself worthy of anything this season.

I think the Lakers will evaluate all positions. There's a glut of small forwards on the team, but Luke still has 5 yrs./$26M left on his contract; a lot of money due for an underachieving role player. If Walton is the odd man out next season, he will have to get healthy and rehabilitate his game.
Nah, you underestimate Walton too much. Luke is an excellent passer for his size and he could shoot. He is not dominant but he's okay for a bench player. He also has good basketball I.Q. I think the Lakers should keep him unless they find a better player to trade for him.
no i don't think so, he's a very intelligent player who can pass like crazy, i'd keep him
Yes. The only reason he is there is because his dad is famous.
no hes not that bad his stats dont show it but he helps the offense flow a lot
lakers all the way
kobe for mvp
