I know it's not over for the spurs and pistons yet, but if the lakers and celtics do meet in the finals, who do you think will win the series and in how many games? Should be a good series.
Looks like it might be boston and lakers in the finals?knicks
I think its close but the Lakers have a superior backcourt with a decent front court and the better bench and coach. It definitely will be a good series
Point Guard: Fisher vs. Rondo. Lakers because Fisher has won three championships and can hit the outside shot with more consistency. Point guard play however won't decide the matchup as it has in past Finals
Shooting Guard: Bryant vs. Allen. Lakers because Allen has been inconsistent and Bryant is just the best even at small forward which he sometimes plays
Small Forward: Radmanovic vs. Pierce. Celtics Pierce is just the better player and he even has shown his defensive prowess
Power Forward: Odom vs. Garnett Celtics Garnett is better defensively and also is more consistent scoring wise and can dominant when he wants to while Odom is inconsistent and some nights he just disappears offensively.
Center: Gasol vs. Perkins Gasol easily wins this matchup offensively and defensively Perkins but obviously Gasol has a greater impact on his team than Perkins for the Celtics
Looks like it might be boston and lakers in the finals?sports ,nba teams
If it ends up to be Lakers vs. Celtics it'll go down something like this...
Center- Gasol vs. Perkins- Perkins may be a better shot blocker, but Gasol can dominate the paint and is a great force to be reckoned with
Power Forward- Radmanovic vs. KG- Yeah, the great KG can do anything, but Vladdy can shoot 3s
Small Forward- Odom vs. Pierce- Good matchup, pierce is a better shooter while odom is better in the paint
Shooting Guard- Bryant vs. Allen- KOBE! Both are incredible shooters, but Allen isn't as productive as Kobe is.
Point Guard- Fisher vs. Rondo- I love Rondo, he's grown up so much, but this is probably the most even matchup in the series. Both can pass, shoot, and steal and take care of business.
X-Factor- Posey vs. Farmar- Both are different positions, but Posey is a great shooter, while Farmar is a great playmaker
So it's basically like this-
C- Lakers
PF- Celtics
SF- Celtics
SG- Lakers
PG- Lakers by a little bit
X- Factor- Celtics
Subs- Lakers
This is going to a great series, but I'm going to say Lakers in 7
Celtics in 6.
these are the matchups
Garnett vs Gasol : Gasol is too weak to go up against Garnett
Gasol can't defend Garnett, KG is too good and he'll make Gasol jump on every pumpfake
Perkins vs Odom: Both these players won't matter because Perkins will stop Odom's effectiveness by blocking his shots
Pierce vs Kobe: Kobe always guards best perimeter player on opposite team. Kobe will be unstoppable and the only player keeping the lakers in this series.
Allen vs Radmanovic: I don't think Radmanovic can guard Allen. I think Allen will give the Lakers big trouble cuz Radmanovic is too slow to follow him across screens for his catch and shoot plays
Rondon vs Fisher: Rondo is too quick for Fisher and will average 4 or 5 steals a game. Also they are the same height at 6'1" so Fisher has no advantage at all. The Celtics defensive scheme will prevent him from taking any open shots since he's quite old now and Rondo is a lot quicker than Tony Parker
I'm a Spurs fan... born 'n' raised in Texas...
My Spurs are looking old though. I never rush to count any team out, don't get me wrong.
To me it just looks like they are wearing down.
If it is the Lakers and Celtics, that would do a lot for the NBA... two storied franchises battling again.
I believe that the Lakers have a better chance of beating the Pistons in the finals. However I do believe The Lakers will beat the Celtics in the finals in 7 games.
First off, don't jinx my celtics!! lol.
if the celtics and lakers make it to the finals, i think it will go to a game seven. Hopefully the celts will take it, but it should be close.
If its lakers and celts(which I hope it is) then it will be highly viewed. WAY more then the finals last year which I think was the least watched finals ever.
THAT WILL BE THE MORE EXCITING SERIES, SPURS vs pistons=who cares, lakers vs celtics = east coast vs west coast!!!! kg first time in finals in whole career, first kobe attempt at a ring w/out shaq...exciting!!
If it is Boston - LA then the Celtics in 6.
You never know playoffs bring out the great and bad out of players so its to close to call right now. I f it is a Celtic v Lakers Finals David Stern will be hopping for joy
too close too call but if LA beats san antonio at SA then lakers will be in it. i do beieve celtics will be in it though

Don't jinx the Lakers.
